From Heru to Hero

Almost every day I am reminded of the need for sites of this type. This entire culture, the entire of what is known as Western Civilization is built upon concepts and precepts, from mathematics to theosophy, which originated with the ancestors of all, the magnificent wonderful mother and father of the Nile Valley. A wonderful book on the matter is Martin Bernal's Black Athena. It is as good a place as any to start to check what I'm about to say, if this strikes you as strange.

The concept of Good and Evil, overcoming it, and humanity struggling to be more than what it is to over come evil, in a word a hero, started in the Nile. As an instructional aside, The dwellers of the Nile Valley did not call themselves Egyptians that would be like this entire culture calling itself Washingtonians. They called themselves the Kamau which meant living on earth as God would and survived to today through the Coptic to Kikuyu as Quiet Warrior or Man of God. Their entire culture was dedicated to the understanding of God in their surroundings. As such they created a spiritual culture so exact it was akin to a science, so precise it had its own language, Metu--what the common unstudied know as glyphs. These were the words of God. There was a lesser form of writing which did not use pictographs. The Metutu were used because they by passed the left brain or thought and directly enter the spirit. A vision or a sight could instantly communicate an entire lesson to the perceiver. If the image of Heru being defeated by Set were seen by the perceiver, the perceiver would instantly know that he or she was failing to live as Heru would, failing in the war over evil.

Heru is the largely understood as the first Hero. His legendary contending for the Kingdom of Good with his evil uncle Set dates back to the earliest times of the first civilization. It is preceded only by the very first heroic story of Good and Evil featuring AmenRa and Apep the great(huge) serpent. Apep was defeated by the what can be considered the first fallen hero, Set the Apep killer, for AmenRa. To be sure these are stories which helped to comprise a spiritual system and one could argue that it is therefor metaphor and not literature, but the genre of fantasy is nothing if it is not one comprised of moralistic stories--ie Frodo regaining the will of man as he overcomes evil. It is the reason that I refer to fantasy as Spiritual Fiction. One would be hard pressed to find a fantasy story not morally based. And do not try to separate Heru because no movies or novels were out in ancient times, the Legend of Heru Ur or Heru of Behutet would have been told theatrically much like we go to the theater today.

Now with Heru versus Set and AmenRa versus Apep we have two stories about Good and Evil. the first stories about such and I say again the very first stories. But not a white person is involved. Not a one. Look to the left, to that first picture. That is a depiction of Heru as he appears in the unearthed temples of the Kamau. His flesh is dark. In fact, one would find such in many of the Kamitians. Yet today people of darker flesh are led to believe repeatedly that the hero was created by and is a concept of European origin. It is the affect of racism internalized and the non stop brain washing which we find in every instance of the media assault upon the African culture.

Let me point out to you that the incredibly ancient Legend of Heru of Behutet or Heru Ur is recognized as the first story in which human beings fought side by side with the Gods. Today we would call such a "legend" a story of fantasy. They were called the MesNtiu, and survived in Legend as Heru's workers of Iron because of poor interpretation of their names. They were iron workers and Heru was known as the God of Iron but it was both metaphorical and literal. Humanity's will had to be a thing of Iron to face the evil enemies of AmenRa comprised of hideous Man/beasts fiends corrupted by Set/Apep with all the attendant huge monsters side by side with Heru Ur--the great power.

Hence, the darker race located in the Nile created the first Heroes in AmenRa and in Heru. They created the first super human images in the MesNtiu who lived and fought amongst the Gods.
These images and concepts were stolen by European culture. Heru became the incredibly and often imitated Herucules and AmenRa, Zeus etc. European centered images have been retelling these essential stories using these archetypal images since they were first taken from the Kamitians. But long before Hollywood ever force fed the magnificent indefatigable great white male down the camera in every movie, before every literary editor needed to see the great white person as the focus of every work as they do today, it was the dark Heru who literally walked off into the Sun Set. So every time that a black author creates a black heroic figure he or she is not copying a heroic figure, that author is merely recreating the archetype of his or her ancestors. Even if the audience is drowning in its own ignorance or racism. Hence my work Ra Ur is not a black-Lord of the Rings, and my other heroic characters are not black faced imitations of leaders in the genre, my works are inspired by my ancestors works. It is not I who is the thief. Even if people of color are so brain washed that they need to see John McClain, James Bond, Frodo Baggins, Horatio Alger, Captain Kirk and every other white hero or super hero as the only ones who can be so. Long before Beowulf flayed the dragon, long before Richard saved England. Long before evil uncle lion Scar stole the kingdom from the Lion King which was such an obvious retelling of the Heru versus Set archetype, long before Tolkien, Shakespeare, Tom Clancy, Marvel Comics, and long before any other creator or creations which are purported to be heroes or creators of heroic characters, there was Heru.(available as three short novellas--The Becoming, The War Within, and End game or as one novel in Heru Ra Ur, The Book of Becoming Awake Again)-

But they will never tell you this, though you may continue to deny the light despite being dragged to the truth. Say it with me, it will only hurt a moment....

Lord of the Rings is a white Heru Ur. Heru Ur is not a black Lord of the Rings.

Look, black heroes are the original. That is incontrovertible truth. Every thing else has been inspired by that archetype. No amount of racism or white guilt fear would make that truth any different. Only the fear of racism or internalized racism could in someone's subjective mind, now that the truth is known.

Here, today as yesterday. Tomorrow as today. Truth is truth. It does not change.
